Odyssey
In the editor's note, the author discusses the process of taking pictures when embarking on an odyssey. They emphasize the point that separates a tourist from a journeyer. Some one who is journeying will be taken by what comes upon them and be in awe and appreciate their surroundings. A tourist will seek to capture these moments and they will be disconnected with their surroundings. Also, every journey is different, some are approached differently and don in different way making each odyssey different. When you are a traveler instead of a tourist, your photos will show it. They will seem more natural and the viewer will be able to comprehend the image much better. They will get a much better feel for what is going on.
Selfie Madness
There are 2 types of self-portrait photography. On one end of the spectrum, self portraits are very low key and used to express feeling of artists. On the other people use it to identify themselves and show who they are. They want to promote who they are and show whey they are about. Some often just use self portraits to place themselves in a scene or an environment and they use that environment to reflect what they are trying to say as to say 'I am a part of this'. Others use their clothing, what they are doing, to show, express what they are trying to say.

Color and Style
Clinard uses color very much to his advantage as many of his photos' most important factor is color. In this forst photo, he uses the absence of color to emphasize the stream of color that there is thus making what the color leads to seem that much more important. In his second photo he uses a theme of one color to set the tone for the picture. There are twitter looking birds picking the numbers off of the clock as to say that twitter can waste time very easily.
